Frailty ist ein etabliertes Maß für das Risiko-Assessment bei chirurgischen Fällen. Das Ziel dieser Studie war die Validierung eines modifizierten, 15-Variablen enthaltenden, notfallchirurgisch-spezifischen Frailty-Indexes (EGSFI). Die gewonnenen Ergebnisse legen nahe, dass der validierte 15-Variablen-EGSFI ein einfaches und verlässliches, patienten-nahes Werkzeug zur Bestimmung des Frailty-Status von Patienten ist, die einer Notoperation unterzogen werden.
