This Conference is a shared initiative of the Australian Institute for Musculoskeletal Science (AIMSS), The University of Melbourne, Victoria University, and Western Health. During the two days of the Conference, participants will be able to listen to the leaders in this field from Australia, New Zealand and overseas. In addition, participants will be able establish new networks and collaborations with many colleagues sharing their interest in sarcopenia and frailty.

The congress will cover main topics in geriatric medicine. In particular it will address the healthiest patients, health optimization, prevention as an underused intervention, organization of acute geriatric care in different countries, and tailored drug treatment. Other topics will concern new discoveries in dementia, integrated care for elderly people such as pre-post and perioperative care in orthogeriatrics, cancer and cardiac surgery.
